Our next hike on Friday, December 20th will be Islay hill.  It starts at 8:30 AM at the parking lot of the Islay Hill Park shown at the Red Pin on the map below.  There is now a round-about at the intersection of Orcutt and Tank Farm Roads.  You take the round-about right into the park which has bathrooms and lots of parking.  Also attached is a GPS map showing the exact counterclockwise route we took last time. The first leg is along a tree covered trail over foot bridges and bubbling streams.  And since we will be doing it in the morning, the 2.5 miles and elevation change of 607 feet should be no problem at all.  This is a SOFT rated on on the hardness scale.  Allow 2 hours for the hike and please let Russ know if you will be coming at rbik@me.com
