On Friday, August 7th 2026 we hiked the from the Coon Creek parking lot in Montana de Oro to Pt. Bochon. 

From we viewed the "blow hole" pictured below and continued down the coast to view the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant.  The plant can be seen in the picture above right behind the Ken MacRae's hat.  Special thanks to Bill Sisler who substituted for Russ whose foot is healing.  The hike was 5.4 miles long and was completed in 3 hours.  The net elevation change was 225 feet. The cumulative UP waypionts 511 feet.  The calculated HHI was 25.72 which clearly places it in the Easy catagory.
