Today, was June 6, 2025. We hiked the Whale Rock Reservoir trail just East of Cayucos. It was a really good hike. Not too hard and not too easy. The distance was 4.3 miles against a predicted 4.4 miles. The elevation change was an unexpectedly low 70 feet. However, the total of the UP Way-Points was 591 feet which is a ratio of 7 to 1. That big a difference is very unusual and is due the wavy terrain around the reservoir.

It is always better when the ladies join us. This influence is reflected in the inclusion of Flowers in one of the pictures below. Good pictures Barbara. Several of you inquired about hiking the other roads/trails around the reservoir. Carl and I are going to try and find out more about them. Finally, directly below is a picture Barbara says is of the ocean on the other side of the hills in the distance. It is a little hard to make out.
