On Friday, January 16th we hiked to the top of Pine Mountain in Atascadero.  Russ was sick so Brad lead the hike.  Sometimes we worry that we might end up with fewer hikers than we started with.  This time, we ended up with two MORE than we started with.  We think the Monolith may have teleported them to the summit.  Everyone who made the hike is pictured above around the Monolith except Barbara, our photographer, who is with Brad below.  You may also notice Hal Thilmony is holding a bottle of Special Merit Award wine.  Hal composed several haiku poems for the annual RAM Christmas party contest.  Unfortunately they were lost in transit to the judges, and it was not noticed until it was too late. Because the subject of the poems (the old West in this case) changes with each contest, they don't keep.  Russ, a very skilled and experienced connoisseur of the written word, has read Hal's poems and determined that "Entranced", which appears below, is a winner.  Now Hal not only has Wealth (the wine) he as The Glory.
